What is Choirless?
Choirless is an Unincorporated Association based in the United Kingdom comprising Matt Hamilton, Sean Tracey and Glynn Bird. It is a musical collaboration platform allowing choirs to be created which are collections of Choirless users who work together to create songs, which are edited into video montages or other types of media.

By visiting this website, you agree to the processing of certain personal data. While there is no personal data collected during the initial page load, certain functions of this website and related services can trigger processing of personal data, which is why visitors shall be informed about the details of this processing, its purpose, and of course their personal rights. Every data processing process on this website occurs in accord with data protection law, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Therefore an agreement for this data processing is obtained if there is no legal basis for an individual case of data processing.

Data storage
Choirless values your data and the privacy of your personal data. We store:
- your email address
- a derivative of a password that you supply
- the names & descriptions of choirs
- the names and descriptions of songs
- the names of song parts
- audio/video recordings supplied as song parts
- derivative audio/video recordings of song parts used during compositing
- composite audio/video song recordings generated by joining song parts and composite recordings
This data is stored in data centres in the United Kingdom. Data is retained indefinitely unless it is deleted by usage of the Choirless website, or after a GDPR right to erasure request.
Copyright Material
Choirless strictly forbids the uploading, recording or publishing of copyrighted material without the copyright holder's consent. We reserve the right to take down offending content. This includes, but is not limited to, musical recordings, sheet music, lyrics, backing tracks and samples.
Takedown requests under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) should be directed to dmca@choirless.com.
Your rights
In accord with the GDPR, the persons affected by data processing have a right to Access (Art. 15 GDPR) for the data that is collected from them. They can request a confirmation of the data processing and a handout of the collected data. Additionally, they have a right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR), a right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR) that can also be evoked due to incomplete data. They have a right to erasure (“right to be forgotten”) (Art. 17 GDPR), a right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR), as well as a right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR). Persons affected have a right to object (Art. 21 GDPR) to the future processing of their data, and the restrictions regarding the automatic individual decision-making, including profiling (Art. 22 GDPR) are in place. The third-party analytics service stores your IP address, date & time of visit and which pages within our website were accessed. Such data is not stored on our servers.
We reserve the right, in the future, to add online advertising to the Choirless website which may itself store cookies within your browser.
